Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Data Engineer Developer for a remote opening.

SUMMARY:
Data Interoperability is a critical component of the client's Enterprise Data Strategy, as a key element of our digital transformation journey. The client's Enterprise Data Strategy will allow the corporation to optimize, protect, and leverage data as an enterprise asset. This position is for a data engineer to support Common Data Model, a key Data Strategy capability within the office of the client's Chief Data and Analytics Officer (CDAO). The Common Data Model creates a canonical data model for use as a common, standardized format for business application and business process integration within and between the client's Business Areas and between the client and external partners and suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain data governance APIs in Collibra for Common Data Model master data. Develop adapters to exchange data between business systems; also consult with other developers across LM business areas to build their own adapters. Maintain Common Data Model validation services (message validation, code lists, and business rules) Map data to Open Application Group Integration Specification (OAGIS) Business Object Documents (BODs) Engage with functional stakeholders to understand data exchange needs. Work regularly with peer teams such as Collibra (business glossary), TIBCO (Data Virtualization), and Integration Platforms.

REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated experience with Application Programming Interface (API) development. Demonstrated experience with XML, Java, JSON and/or REST development. Demonstrated experience with data transformation and data validation. Demonstrated Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) experience. Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Integration and/or Business Process Integration. Strong understanding of XML, XSD, XQuery, XSLT, XPath and other data transformation related technologies. Strong oral and written communication skills and an ability to work effectively in an agile team environment Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Desired Skills:
Experience developing TIBCO data virtualization adapters. Experience developing canonical data models. Experience with Collibra for data governance. Experience with Open Application Group Integration Specification (OAGIS) Experience with RedHat Fuse. Experience with cross-industry data standards. Experience with AWS GovCloud development. Experience with RedHat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)Experience in one or more business functions / business processes such as engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, etc.
