Chipton-Ross is seeking a Security Engineer 2 for an opening in Huntsville, AL.
Supports the development, implementation, and sustainment of product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle. Supports the development and enhancement of system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements. Ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support. Supports the definition and identification of product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into Boeing products and services. Coordinates with governments, customers, suppliers, and industry at a low level to identify risks and improve industry and regulatory security standards and requirements for programs and interfacing systems. Supports research and development activities resulting in innovative solutions. Supports the advisement of customers on maintaining product security and certification, including security consequences of modifying products and services.
•Implementing and refining GMD MBSec features, solutions, and other information sources for multiple cyber roles on the program.
•Implementing, piloting, transitioning and sustaining Model Based Security (MBSec) features support program PSE needs
•Support configuration, data and work flow management of MBSec tools and processes
•Work in and utilize agile methodologies for planning and execution of tasks across the team
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
•Experience in defining, allocating, implementing, assessing, and validating cybersecurity related requirements over the entire engineering and product life-cycle
•Experience in performing, documenting, and communicating the analysis of cyber vulnerabilities, threats, and risks
•Working with Risk Management Framework (RMF) plans and considerations
•Software assurance planning and assessment, including use of static and dynamic code analysis tools and results
•Understanding and experience in systems and/or software engineering, including:
•Development of Architecture, Requirements, Concepts of Operations, and Use Cases
•Development of Hardware and Software products
•Integration and Unit Test
•Verification and Validation
•Testing, including Acceptance and Fielding Tests
•Using Model Based Engineering tools, such as CAMEO, and application of relevant markup languages such as UML and SysML
•Using Development – Security – Operations (DevSecOps) relevant tools and methodologies
•Understanding and working knowledge of various standards, including: DFARS Clause 252.204-7012, CNSSI 1253, DOD 8570, NIST 800-160, NIST 800-53 (and 53A), NIST 800-30, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-55, NIST 800-137, NIST 800-39
•Demonstrated history of performance in systems or software engineering, and operating throughout the course of the engineering or operations lifecycle
•Highly motivated and exhibit strong written and verbal communication, inter-personal, and problem solving skills
•Ability to work independently and effectively with external customers and subcontractors in a multi-site and multi-discipline program and environment.
•Experience in systems, mechanical, electrical and/or software engineering
•Experience in analysis of requirements, architecture design and product design
•Experience with Model Based Engineering tools and languages such as Enterprise Architecture, Cameo, MagicDraw, UML/SysML, 3DX, CATIA
Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.
