Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Embedded S/W Engineer Level 6 for an opening in Grand Prairie, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
A person is needed to join the client's Hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) team to continue development of the HWIL (simulation) and to conduct tests performed by the HWIL for the PATRIOT Advanced Capability – 3 (PAC-3) family of missiles, launchers, and fire-control products. The HWIL is a complex system of real and representative hardware (generally software mathematical representations of hardware) that is used to test complex real-time embedded software prior to deployment. This position requires the use and update of a sophisticated set of hardware and software to test critical software for a family of missile products. The candidate is expected to work independently and with a team to develop and conduct tests on an exploded hardware bench. The ability to develop test code, analysis data, and troubleshoot both hardware and software problems is needed to be successful in this position.

C 11 or greater C++ 11 or greater Exceptional communication skills Board Support Package (BSP) code development Device driver code development Hardware-in-loop (HWIL) code development - extensive (Closed-loop development) Issue tracking and coordination Linux Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) Scripting Software configuration management / version control User interface/display code.

EDUCATION:
