Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking 1 Software Engineer 3 located in Colorado Springs, CO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads activities to develop, document and maintain complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems. Leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met. Provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Leads software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. Tracks and evaluates software team and supplier performance to ensure product and process conformance to project plans and industry standards. Trains and mentors others. Works under consultative direction.

•Develop UI interface designs using perception communication principles (Layout, Color, Typography, Icons, Images, Sounds, Design theory)
•Develop UX design artifacts (Personas, Journey Maps, Storyboards, Wire framing and Prototyping)
•Develop data visualizations for space systems
•Perform user research and strategy (Understand what the audience/users want)
•Develop information architecture (Organizing information in an understandable manner)
•Collaborate with team members and users (Effectively give/receive feedback and explore solutions)
•Develop and maintain code and that integrates into a functional software system
•Execute software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test of various technologies
•Execute and document software research and development projects

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
•3 or more years of experience working with UX design tools
•3 or more years of experience designing user workflows
•3 or more years of experience designing data visualization/presentation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
•3 or more years of experience working with HTML5
•2 or more years of experience working with Angular
•2 or more years of experience working with TypeScript
•Experience working with users to gather user needs, pain points, and feedback
•Experience writing user documentation or training material
•Experience working in an agile software development environment
•Experience working with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools
•Experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline

EDUCATION:
Accredited Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time/First Shift
7:00 am - 3:30 pm
