Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Material Handler for an opening in Skaneateles Falls, NY.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Pickup and transport of metal/brass chips and running chip spinner to remove oils from scrap metals. Unloading chips into large boxes for transportation. Responsible for weighing and labeling boxes of materials for transport. Will be responsible to operate other machining equipment when needed.

REQUIREMENTS:
A vital part of this role will be detecting and reporting defective materials/tooling, faulty operations/documentation, poor work, and unusual conditions to the Set-Up Operators as well as the group leader and making recommendations for improvements. Troubleshooting machinery, upholding high quality inspection standards and experience diagnosing operating and tooling problems are all a part of your previous experience.
A High school diploma is required. You will have good understanding of standard measurement principles and blueprint reading. Proficiency using calipers, comparator, micrometers, and fixed gauges to close tolerances will be critical. This position requires you to work in oils and cutting fluids, constant standing and bending. Lifting up to 50 lbs. You must be able to lift heavy bar-stock into feeding tubes. Overtime may be required as necessary.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
