Chipton-Ross is seeking an Engineer Electrical 3 for an opportunity in Manhattan Beach, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a talented Senior Principal Electrical Design Engineer to lead the development and integration of complex electronic test systems and electronic hardware units in support of space flight programs. This individual would act as the responsible design engineer (RDE) and technical lead of development on our program.

The electronic hardware development responsibilities include: architecture design, detailed design, performing customer briefings/reviews, hardware test, site integration, and post-delivery support. Primary deliverables are flight electronics test systems and satellite system operational ground based hardware. The candidate will lead a design in a team environment with other engineering functions, including: Flight Engineering, Systems Engineering, Product Engineering, Software Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Program Management to meet schedule and technical requirements.
Detailed Digital, RF, or Analog analysis at the component level
FPGA design, functional simulation, and test vector creation
PCB/CCA design, development, test, and integration
Electronic Unit design, development, test, and integration
Electronic Test System (Test Set) design, development, test, and post-delivery support
Worst case performance analysis for critical Digital and/or RF signals
Developing and presenting design reviews for internal and external customers
Reporting schedule and earned value to program leadership

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or another STEM degree from an accredited institution and 14 years of experience in an Engineering Environment; OR, a minimum of 12 years of experience with a Master’s Degree in STEM
- Design and test experience in digital technology
Leading small teams
Design, integration, and test of Digital and Analog/RF circuits
PCBs/CCAs
Electronic drawers/units
FPGAs
Small to large electronic subsystems

Preferred:
- Master’s Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor's Degree
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
