Chipton-Ross is seeking a DevOps Specialist 4 for an opening in Remote, SC.

Will lead core server environment build & installation support for a variety of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and in-house software application supporting our engineering/manufacturing teams. Job requires working within a global, diverse team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results. Strong communication skills are required both verbally and written, to interact with peers and customers. Job requires the ability to work well with others on a team as well as independently. • Lead the analysis of hardware and software requirements to facilitate first time integration quality for customers.
• Integrate new software solutions in environments following stringent security guidelines
• Utilize Unix/Linux server skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
• Manage and implement changes to systems (COTS software installations)
• Maintain the appropriate security compliance of assigned environments
• Collaborate effectively within the operational constructs of a balanced team and Integrated Project Team (IPT) and across perceived functional organization teams.
• Work in partnership, virtually with teammates from our ClientIndia site
• Work within project teams on iterative development that delivers high quality products
• Embrace an Agile mindset of relentless and continuous self-improvement

• Strong Experience with a CI/CD platform, (e.g. ADO, Jenkins, GIT-CI/CD etc.)
• Advanced Scripting knowledge & experience (Bash, Python)
• Advanced Java Web App administration
• Cloud platform experience (MS Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Advanced Knowledge of Ansible
• Experience Maintaining Red Hat Linux systems (or Oracle Linux)
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Advanced knowledge of general systems architecture
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Advanced Knowledge of Linux/Unix administration

• Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework Environment) methodologies
• DevSecOps Certification
• Automated unit and system testing
• Database experience in either Oracle, SQL, SQL Server, DB2

Accredited education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).
