Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst / Database Developer for a remote opening.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Defining, designing and documenting reference architecture. Collaborating with developers and analysts for successful project delivery. Provide Power BI report writing and development expertise to the global Supply Chain team. Maintain the Supply Chain Power BI reporting Suite, ensuring daily reports are refreshed on time. Develop a detailed understanding of the global Supply Chain data so that the reporting suite can adapt to changes in reporting requirements. Apply effective housekeeping ensuring reporting accuracy and stability. Proactively addressing scalability and performance issues. Design, build and deploy Power BI solutions (e.g. reports and dashboards, visualizations). Provide technical support and troubleshooting of Power BI reporting solutions, including investigation of data issues, data validation and balancing.

REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years working experience in delivering BI solutions. Experience building Cloud BI solutions using AWS as data lake backend sources and Power BI as BI visualization tools. Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate). Demonstrated experience in defining and designing KPI metrics. Strong hands on experience with Power BI. Hands-on experience in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects. Working knowledge of relational database design and data modeling. Strong written and verbal communication skills (English). Ability to communicate with internal and external customers (including communicating technical information to nontechnical audiences) Knowledge of data warehouse concepts. Expert in SQL queries. Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop. Knowledge of MDX, M Query and Power Query. Experience in leveraging parameters. Expertise in using advance level calculations on the data set. Experience in handling multi-million data sets. Leverage industry best practices to ensure deployed reports are structured efficiently including visualizations. Experience in using DAX Studio. Experience in using Tabular Editor

EDUCATION:
Accredited BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
