Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Engineer for an opening in Remote, US

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and work closely with teams to deliver data solutions and capabilities. Excelling as part of a data operations organization of data engineers, architects, and developers with a problem-solving mindset, who meets deadlines, communicates effectively, enjoys challenges, can work independently, can learn new information and systems quickly and will thrive in our high-performing data engineering team. The ideal candidate has experience and a solid understanding of system engineering principles, change and configuration management, IT Portfolio management, and technical planning to help teams deliver full-stack data solutions across the entire data processing pipeline.

To support these activities, we are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support our Data Operations who will be responsible for leading projects and ensuring that all the appropriate systems engineering business rhythms, practices, policies and standards are met in a fast-paced agile environment across all components of software & data systems through design, implementation, and integration. Responsible for leading, planning, organizing, and facilitating Change/Incident Management, Technical Review Boards, ticket queue management, IT portfolio management, and on-call production support management. Responsible for creating and maintaining Disaster Recovery plans, requirements gathering and analysis, coordination with Enterprise and Business teams to align processes, standards, and operating instructions. Responsible for technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Implementing lean management approaches to streamline processes to reduce unnecessary overhead for faster development and deployment.

Mandatory Requirements:
Demonstrated experience leading technical teams
Demonstrated systems engineering and integration/test experience developing complex technical solutions
Demonstrated change and incident management experience for organization
Demonstrated experience working projects across dispersed geographical locations
Strong organization, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities
Demonstrated business acumen and ability to balance technical requirements with business needs
Demonstrated experience with Agile Release and Sprint planning
Proven experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies/techniques
Experience with Agile Tool Suites (JIRA preferred)
Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrated positive attitude even under pressure
Strong lean and root cause analysis skills

Desired Skills:
Demonstrated expertise across Systems Architecture and Engineering life-cycle
Systems Engineering experience in multiple domains/functions
Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering principles and tools
Knowledge and experience with software and data engineering principles
Experience in risk based governance and management
Demonstrated experience in developing and communicating technical strategies, plans, and roadmaps
Demonstrated experience with business process improvement
Demand Management, Forecasting, Planning, Project Management, Agile, Dev Ops
IT Service Management: Application/Service Mapping, Change Management, Configuration Management, Incident/Problem Management, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma
IT Operations Management

Experienced in Data modeling, ETL, Data Warehousing, Database Systems, Data Virtualization

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience with the following skills
