Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Embedded S/W Engineer Level 6 for an opening in Grand Prairie, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The client is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer that can quickly come up to speed with an existing embedded processor design/software and modify/implement updates to support uplink/downlink to additional weapon/s. The candidate will work closely with the FPGA design engineers and the radio frequency (RF) design engineers. The candidate must work closely with both the RF design engineers to take algorithms/equations/simulations and implement them in the C/C++ language on XiLinx RFSoC embedded processor. They will also work with the FPGA engineers to implement the interface between the embedded software and the FPGA fabric (via AXI interface).

REQUIREMENTS:
C++ 11 or higher C 11 or higher Full life-cycle development Field programmable gate array (FPGA) coding Issue tracking and task management tools Real-time embedded software with millisecond/microsecond response time Software configuration management / source code versioning tools Willingness to travel.

Desired Skills:
Git and/or GitLab - configuration management / version control. Jira - issue tracking. AXI interface. Xilinx RF. System on a Chip (SoC) embedded processor

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
