Chipton-Ross is seeking an Manufacturing Engineer Associate for an opening in Pinellas, FL
Designs manufacturing processes/procedures and authors manufacturing work instructions. Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for the fabrication of parts, assemblies, and tools. Designs basic fabrication or assembly tooling required for manufacturing. Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. May incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans. Develops initial design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Utilizes CAD tools to generate detailed engineering fabrication and assembly drawings from basic layouts, established references, notes, discussions with engineers, and standard data. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
Works well in team-environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Proficient in the use of Solidworks modeling/drafting
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel)
Assembly, machining, and sheet metal fabrication experience
Experience with Solumina MES
Technical experience in resolving engineering, planning, tooling and assembly problems
DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and/or CA (Corrective Action) experience
Familiarity with tooling design and fabrication
Additive manufacturing experience
Metrology hardware/software experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering related discipline
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
