Chipton-Ross is seeking two Embedded Software Engineer 3's for an opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA.
Designs, develops, operates and maintains software and firmware components and computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with engineering, scientific and manufacturing requirements. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the generation of such engineering applications and products such as laboratory simulation systems, aircraft flight control and display systems, pacemakers, defibrillators, mechanical and electrical systems. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.
BS in EE or Computer Engineering with SW background.
BS in Computer Science is Ok as long as the VxWorks experience and working with HW is in their experience.
Ideally 10+ years of development experience working on embedded real-time systems using VxWorks.
Device Drivers and Board Support Package experience is needed under the VxWorks OS. Working knowledge of bringing up new PPC based boards with interfaces like High Speed Serial, 1553, Spacewire.
Needs to have a deep understanding of VxWorks 7.0+, Board Support Package under VxWorks, device drivers development under VxWorks and lab test tools (JTAG, logic analyzers, PROM burners).
School must be accredited.
9/80 work week.
