Chipton Ross is seeking a AWS Engineer for an opening in El Segundo, CA

Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day deployment and support of the infrastructure within companies Hosted Services environments. The position will be part of the IT Shared Services organization that will interface with client employees in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas.
" Implementation and support of secure infrastructure which consists of networks, servers, databases, applications and systems within the client Hosted Services environments
" Follow direction and governance from ITSS Infrastructure and Security teams so all systems adhere to company standards and company baseline IT Security Plan
" Setup and availability of business-critical customer accessible systems; focusing on uptime, scalability and security
" Ensures the appropriate backup and archive of all systems including customer data, based on contractual agreements
" Maintain and develop procedures/systems to ensure appropriate access control to customers' data
" Explain highly technical solutions to non-technical staff, crisp clear communication and ability to explain solutions and how they provide value
" Maintain system integrity and security enhancements and monitoring, including maintenance of component inventory, lifecycle management and related documentation
" Create and maintain documentation relating to systems; networking architecture and setup
" Monitors effectiveness of existing systems. Provides improvement plans and recommendations.
" Arrange monitoring and reporting of system health and performance
" Provision cloud hosted servers
" Ensure appropriate software installations, and software upgrades/patching

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar disciplines; minimum of 3 years AWS experience.

Computer Skills
" AWS/Cloud platform experience
o Setup VPC's; EC2 Instances; Security Groups
o Setup Transit Gateways, Storage Gateways
o Managing S3 buckets including synchronization
o Cloud Formation and AWS CDK Automation
o AWS Systems Manager
o Supporting RDS databases (preferred)
o Amazon Workspaces (preferred)
" Working knowledge and ability to program/Script in the following languages:
o Powershell
o JSON
o YAML
" Setup, implementation and support of:
o Active Directory Domains (Windows)
o Windows Server and Client systems
o Linux systems
o Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktop (XenApp/Presentation Server)
o Backup/Archiving solutions, e.g. Veeam incorporating S3 technology
o OKTA SSO (preferred)
o Managing PKI digital certificates and public-key encryption (preferred)
" Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office application tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (preferred)
AWS Architect
Palo Alto Certified Network Security Engineer
Cisco Certified Network Professional
Microsoft Certified Professional

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 7am to 4pm, 5/40 schedule

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
