Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inspector for an opening in Johnson CIty, NY.
Plans and conducts inspection of supplier's products. Documents and reports results. Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements. Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives. Resolves routine issues and concerns.
Additionally, quality assurance aerospace experience required in hardware inspection.
Ability to read and understand blueprints drawings. Medium to advance Data base systems and excel experience. This is a virtual assignment, traveling domestically to suppliers' facilities approximately 90% within NY State particularly in the Buffalo area and 10% in neighboring state. On-call assignment with approximately between 20-25 hours weekly. Candidates must reside within an 40 mile radius from Buffalo, NY in order to timely support the assignment. Candidate must have successfully completed either IPC-610 and/or IPC-620 training and have knowledge of mechanical/electrical parts. Candidate will be inspecting cable mechanical/electrical parts and electronics. Candidate must be available to submit to vision test.
Accredited Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
