Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Training Device Technician 3 for an opening in Miami, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists with repairs and tests, installs, configures, upgrades and assists in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software. Performs general inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components. Conducts functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators. Assists engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment. Troubleshoots to isolate faults and repair faulty components. Works under limited supervision.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
•5+ years' experience in the field of simulation, particularly aircrew (flight) simulators and/or trainers
•5+ years' experience in testing flight critical systems via simulators and hardware-in-the-loop environment
•5+ years' experience with electronic/electrical systems

PREFERRED DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience in maintaining CAE, L3, TRU, and FSI Full Flight Simulators;
•Experience in assisting in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software.

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
