Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a APQP & SPC Training & Problem Solving Engineer for an opening in Tukwila, WA.


Work locations are TUKWILA, WA / EVERETT, WA / ST. LOUIS, MO. Applying candidates must be local to one of these locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reviews proposals, contracts, regulatory, program and customer requirements ensuring early quality involvement in program development. Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed. Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems. Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation. Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capability. Conducts quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers'' ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions, and develops a coordinated response for management review and approval. Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management. Analyzes data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts and equipment. Works under general direction.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o 3+ years of experience with the application of AS9145 / Advanced Product Quality Planning
o 5+ years or experience with Quality Systems in the Aviation industry
o 5+ years of experience in an engineering and/or manufacturing environment
o 5+ years of experience using strong analytical and problem solving skills
o Strong communication & presentation skills
o Experience leading cross-functional teams
o Experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers

PREFERRED DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Experience in Statistical Process Control & its application
o Project Management
o Production Engineering
o Design Engineering
o Root Cause Corrective Action Experience
o Six Sigma (DMAIC) certification
o Demonstrated ability to lead, teach and collaborate broadly across organizations

EDUCATION:
Accredited technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).

1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
