Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Finishing Technicians for an opening in Carlsbad, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carry out Standard Operating Procedures for downstream manufacturing, visual inspection, material handling and inventory control. Operate and possibly train others on various Filling procedures including manual or automated filling equipment, labeling, laboratory instruments and hand filling processes. Complete all batch records and manufacturing documents according to GMP quality systems standards as required. Update work orders in our inventory management system (E1) such as issuing hours, inventory transfer, issuing material to WOs, performing partial and full completions. Maintain accurate inventory of products and inventory records. Support the planning and execution of the production schedule. Maintain cleanliness and standards in the GMP Filling lab. Aid adjacent groups after daily duties have been achieved. Share best practices with other employees in the areas of Safety, Quality and Productivity. Proactively addresses ergonomic concerns in work area. Participates in site safety initiatives such as spill response, first aid team, and safety committee. Subject matter expert for Good Documentation Practices within the department. Review completed batch records to ensure completeness. Proactively reach out to support groups for assistance on production issues. Solves basic problems applying experience and knowledge and escalates when necessary. Completes basic equipment troubleshooting for common failure modes. Can initiate problem reports for deviations and non-conforming material with our quality management system. Partners with support groups to provide input on continuous improvement initiatives or process updates. Participate in special projects, validation and PPI activity. Lead daily tier meetings and assists with ownership of actions and communications. Regularly trains new employees on department processes and signs off on new training proficiencies for new employees. Completes certified training program and applies concepts during training of new employees. Works independently and in a team environment. May function temporarily in Lead capacity, in absence of Lead.

REQUIREMENTS:
At least 3+ years of experience in manufacturing environment, preferably in a GMP lab. Experience in a GMP manufacturing environment. Experience with lab equipment and processes such as peristaltic pumps, pipettes, aseptic techniques. Experience in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Experience with Good Documentation Practices. Proactive problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Well organized, detail oriented and proficient at multi-tasking. Ablility to sit, stand, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Close vision and ability to adjust focus required. Regularly required to lift up to 20 pounds. May be required to lift weight of 45 pounds or more, with assistance and/or with equipment on occasion.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High Shcool Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
1st shift 8-5 or 7-4 (ish)

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
