Chipton-Ross is seeking an Assembly Technician I for an opening in Aston, PA

Perform precision assemblies and subassemblies of electromechanical components using standard products and methods requiring fitting, adjusting and testing. Use of hand tools and simple power tolls. Perform all functions following all safety procedures and practices while maintaining the work area and equipment in a neat, clean and orderly manner.

Read and interpret standard blueprints and directions.8%
Assemble and sub-assemble parts and equipment of repetitive and non-repetitive nature.75%
Perform simple adjusting and fitting.2%
Obtain and maintain specified information and records related to production process.5%
Operate forklift to move material and perform other production tasks, if qualified.5%

. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembler, repair or maintenance. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Must provide own tools. (drive sockets, open end wrenches, box wrenches, allen wrench set, pliers, screwdrivers, ball peen hammer, vice grips, hacksaw and crescent wrenches).
1-2 years job related experience in mechanical assembly repair or machinery maintenance. Required experience plus 45 days training on assignment to this position should enable individual to carry out satisfactorily the duties and responsibilities.
Complexity of Duties
Use of judgment to comply with instructions and understanding of assembly drawings. Some requirement for creativity.
Responsibility for Errors
Responsible for error prevention and quality of own work. Work is generally verified by succeeding process of operations or other individuals.
Responsibility for Relationships with Others
Performance of work requires minimal contact with individuals outside the immediate assigned work area. Occasional contact with engineering personnel or other departments may be required.
Type of Supervision
No direct supervisory responsibility.
Extent of Supervision
Incumbent may be required to perform duties/responsibilities not specifically listed in this position description.

High school graduate or equivalent training obtained through experience or an apprenticeship program in trade or occupation


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
