Chipton-Ross is seeking an Aircraft Machinist for an opening in Mesa, AZ.

Aircraft Machinist Sets-up and operates complex manufacturing operations such as the manual and CNC machining of metal/extrusion and other fabrication operations on out of sequence emergent parts production. Develops and revises Machine Control Data (MCD) and geometry. Reads and interprets engineering dispositions, blueprint drawings and specification for the fabrication of complex parts where methods must be devised and sequence of operations determined. Provide input to engineering on best machining practices. Must be proficient in Machining and Turning on both manual and NC machine tools. Must have a working knowledge of (GD&T) Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and Blue Print reading. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabricating. Ability to read, understand, and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design). Knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., machining, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies. Knowledge of material removal (e.g. metal machining, composite trimming) and material build up (e.g. composites lay-up) to the Numerical Control (NC) programming lifecycle for complex aerospace hardware. Knowledge of precision measuring test equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, etc.) and associated calibration requirements. Must be able to demonstrate capabilities using equipment.

High School Diploma or Accredited GED.

FULL TIME/WORK HOURS: Candidates must be willing to work 1st or 2nd Shift. 4x10 work schedule is required for either shift. 1st: 5 AM-3:30 PM or 2nd: 3:30 PM-2 AM.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
