Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking an ADE Software Engineer for C++/Linux/Agile for an opening in Grenville, TX.

This position is 100% onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This engineer would be working daily with members from multiple software engineering teams to develop software utilizing the C++ programming language in a Linux environment working on an Agile Development Engineering team
Essential Functions:
o Must have strong C++ programming skills, including experience with modern debuggers and version control system support.
o Must have strong experience utilizing Object Oriented design methodologies.
o Must have a good working knowledge of the Linux Operating System (Red Hat).
o Must have excellent communication skills and be able to create and maintain strong working relationships.

REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred Additional Skills:
o Experience with Agile methodologies to include using the Jira tool
o Some experience with Python is desired
o Some experience with SQL and database architecture is desired
o Some experience with Docker containers is desired
o Some experience with Kubernetes is desired.
o Some experience with java is desired.
o Some experience with Gradle is desired.
o Some experience with Git is desired.
o Some experience with network programming (TCP/UDP) is desired.
o Experience with a variety of software development environments and tools
o Soft Skills and Attitude: Able to work with flexible goals or shifting scope; Able to be self-directed and work in team environments.

EDUCATION:
o Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
o Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
o Or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
o Or Graduate Degree or equivalent with 1 to 2 years of prior related experience

SHIFT:
5/40- 8:00-5:00

MISCELLANEOUS:

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
