Chipton-Ross is seeking a Procurement Analyst 2 for a Contract Remote opportunity.
o Source and procure goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers.
o Initiate Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers.
o In conjunction with quality organization, evaluate and supervise supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.
o Work with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.
o Find opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk through targeted negotiations.
o Issue purchase orders.
o Manage performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations.
o Employ sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.
o Ensure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.
o Review and approves supplier payment as needed.
o Utilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement
6+ years of relevant Procurement Analyst experience
Experience with general procurement process, looking at a requirement, issue RFQ, place PO, document, track parts
Knowledge of FAR/DFARS
Moderate Excel user
High school diploma or equivalent.
School must be accredited.
9/80 or 5/40 workweek available.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
