Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lead Information Security Analyst for an opening in Topeka, KS.

SUMMARY:
Responsible for specific assignments related to developing, implementing, documenting and monitoring information security controls.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research, design and recommend information security controls, such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems for corporate information assets. Make recommendations regarding the corporate information security strategy. Research and maintain technical expertise in implementation and maintenance of information security controls. Lead information security risk assessments. Lead the investigation of information security incidents, including corporate policy enforcement and external events. Lead the documentation and implementation of plans that deter security threats and minimize the impact of a system breach. Lead efforts with various departments to ensure that information security controls are integrated properly with other corporate information systems. Act as a technical information security reviewer of design documentation, requirements statements, feasibility analyses, and other documents produced during the information technology systems development process. Increase information security awareness within the corporation by designing, developing and presenting training on all aspects of information security. Identify possible threats to information systems and supporting communication networks by analyzing results produced by using technical security monitoring tools. Ensure that information security activities, functions, plans and recommendations meet the risk posture of the corporation and the goals and performance measurements of the Information Security Department. Ensure protection of corporate assets by assisting with the Information Security business function. Ensure that corporate policies, standards and guidelines are being followed by coordinating compliance activities with other Information Security Analysts, Human Resources, departmental management and other departments. Provide 24x7 support of security controls in a production environment.

REQUIREMENTS:
Requires at least five years of relevant experience which includes: Linux scripting with BASH, KSH, or other shell scripting languages. Linux utilities such as vi, grep, awk, openSSL, RE, expect, nmap, curl and sed is required. Scripting with Beanshell and JavaScript. Programming with Java, Python and PHP. Exceptional communication skills and experience working with technology partners and customers. Must have ability efficiently acquire and utilize new skills with minimal formal training. Technical expertise in breaking complex systems down into basic components and processes. A strong network (TCP/IP), system and web application troubleshooting background is preferred. Demonstrated experience in tracking and organizing complex initiatives and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to multiple levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
Web traffic management - load balance, failover, HTTP redirect / rewrite and TCP packet analysis with tcpdump or similar tools. Intermediate database administration, design and SQL skills. Administering HTTP servers, Web Application servers such as WebLogic, TomCat and WebSphere. Web Access Management security using reverse proxy, Web Single Sign-On (SSO), Federated SSO, SAML and Web Application Firewalls for authentication and authorization. LDAP and Active Directory experience including knowledge on directory server replication, directory partitions, schema modification and performance tuning. Microsoft Azure AD administration.

EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree + experience is the preference.
Accredited Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field, CISSP or other industry certification is preferred.

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
Work hours are typically Monday through Friday position from 8a - 5p with some flexibility.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
