Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a System Administrator 4 for an opening in El Segundo, CA.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Lead Information Technology projects that provide dedicated program infrastructure
o Work directly with programs to ensure Information Technology infrastructure solutions meet the program requirements and schedules
o Perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
o Design, install, configure, troubleshoot and provide maintenance of systems hardware, software and components
o Ensure Information Technology infrastructure conforms with standard architectural objectives
o Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
o Develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives
o Determine and develop approaches to solutions
o Receive general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
o Contribute to the completion of specific programs and projects
o Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers
o Represent the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects

REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Minimum 5 years experience in performing system administration tasks on Windows and Linux hosts
o Minimum 5 years experience in integrating hardware and software components
o Minimum 5 years experience with computing administration to include managing Microsoft active directory design, deploy and operational support
o Minimum 5 years experience working with Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Integration in a Linux or Windows environment
o Minimum 5 years experience working within multi-disciplined teams to resolve business impacting computing issues
o Ability to obtain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) post-start
• CERTIFICATION IN SECURITY PLUS REQUIRED

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
o Minimum 5 years experience architecting, designing, and implementing a DevOps infrastructure for a program
o Minimum 3 years experience working with Virtualized Systems (i.e. VMWare) design and implementation-HIGHLY DESIRED
o Minimum 1 year experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) applications and frameworks
o Minimum 3 years experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, etc.)

EDUCATION:
Accredited education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).

FULL TIME/FIRST SHIFT
WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
