Chipton-Ross is seeking an Associate Analyst / Windows Systems Administration for an opening in Huntsville, AL

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful individual will have strong Windows System Administration and Active Directory skills and the ability to apply full range of knowledge to maintain technical security of information systems processing classified information. In this role, you will be responsible for building, securing, hardening, patching, and maintaining Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 and 2016 and network devices to comply with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Candidate should have strong knowledge in supporting Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Microsoft SQL, etc. Additional tasks include updating servers, desktop clients, engineering application support, antivirus, and maintaining overall system health. Candidate will assist Information System Security Manger (ISSM)/Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with coordination between sponsors, project leaders, and accreditation officials to obtain formal accreditation to operate classified information systems. Work environment in a classified area with regular government compliance audits. Familiarity with network concepts, Linux operating systems, client-server architectures, virtualization technologies, and basic troubleshooting is a plus.
Work is performed under limited general direction:
50% - Provide technical hardware and software support for Microsoft Windows servers, workstations, and other related devices in the closed room by performing operating system and application installs, configurations, applying patches and security updates, and managing and monitoring backup environment.
20% - Address service request and incident tickets submitted by the user population requesting new access or break/fix activities.
20% - Apply System Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) to systems, maintain compliance and hardening updates, and support audit activities to help maintain accreditation and authorization to operate
10% - Support projects and help support Linux and Networking environments.

REQUIREMENTS:
Microsoft Certifications a Plus
Veritas Netbackup experience
A current DoD 8570 Baseline Certification (Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC, CASP CE, CISA, CISM, or CISSP) is desired Windows (Server, Workstation), and Active Directory skills PowerShell Scripting Application install packaging Knowledge of hardening systems, running SCAP tools and implementing STIGs on systems Knowledge of and experience with compliance to government regulations and standards (NIST Special Publications, NISPOM, Risk Management Framework, etc.) Strong documentation skills and ability to document and diagram solutions using tools like MS Visio Experience with VMware ESXi, Citrix, and Virtual Desktop technologies desired Provide exceptional customer service by handling customer complaints with tact and diplomacy.
Industry experience ideally in Department of Defense

EDUCATION:
Desire a Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related technology field and experience in network and server infrastructure or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
