Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a System Safety Engineer for an opening in Waco, TX

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• The Lead, System Safety Engineer performs tasks and analyses in the following areas: Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), System Safety Analysis (SSA), Risk Assessment, Software Safety Assessment, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA),
• Completes required documentation to include System Safety Program Plans, System Safety Hazard Analysis Report (SSHAR), Hazardous Material Management Plans/Reports, Hazard Tracking System
• Use software reliability tools to identify failure modes and probability of occurrence.
• Support development and evaluation of complex air vehicle system designs and architectures.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and Adobe Acrobat DC
• Experience with Reliability & Maintainability - Failure Mode and Effects Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Maintenance Task Analysis, reliability modeling / predictions / calculations, environmental qualification testing, environmental stress screening (ESS), failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system (FRACAS), testability analysis
Preferred Skills (beyond required):
• Experience with the following industry / military standards: MIL-STD-882, MIL-STD-810, DO-160, DO-178, ARP4761, ARP4754, DO-254, MIL-STD-1472, MIL-HDBK-217

EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / technology and minimum 9 years of prior related experience. Graduate degree preferred.

SHIFT:
Full-Time-1st Shift

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
