Chipton-Ross is seeking a DevSecOps Lead for a Hybrid opening in Nashville, TN

o Lead DevSecOps and Developer team(s) toward effective DevSecOps practices.
o Build and maintain new or existing development tools and infrastructure.
o Research and develop strategies for improvement using new technologies and tools.
o Understand the needs of stakeholders and convey this to development teams.
o Create or improve ways to automate development and release processes.
o Examine and evaluate the work of others and analyze results.
o Identify shortfalls, monitor, and coordinate professional development of the teams.
o Engage with IT resources to support development infrastructure.
o Work with development teams to ensure processes work as intended and are consistent.
o Author and review documentation to support reusable components, frameworks, and scripts.
o Interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures to guide improvements to the organization.
o Provide significant time or cost savings by leveraging and implementing DevSecOps tools and methods.
o Perform all job functions with a positive and professional attitude.

o Strong knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Salt.
o Strong knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of continuous test and test frameworks such as NUnit, MSTest, Coded UI, or equivalent.
o Strong knowledge of feature and defect management.
o Strong knowledge of OS Configuration Management, processes, and principles.
o Strong knowledge of automation techniques, technologies, and approaches.
o Knowledge of DoD DevOps infrastructure, Government Cloud, and/or Platform One is preferred.
o Knowledge of hardened DoD equipment and standard DoD hardening measures is optional.
o 5 years of experience administering Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS)/Azure DevOps Server, Jenkins, GitLab, or other similar technologies.
o 3 years of experience with virtualization, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code technology such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
o 3 years of experience with Artifact Management tools such as Artifactory, NuGet, NPM, etc.
o 3 years of experience with cloud technologies and Platform as a Service (PaaS) such as Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Preferred Education and Experience:
o 4 years of experience supporting Linux and Windows clients and servers.
o 3 years of experience with development tools for desktop and embedded applications such as Visual Studio (2015/2017/2019), MSBuild, CMake, GNU Compiler, Clang, or others.
o 3 years of experience creating and maintaining scripts (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.)
o 3 years of experience with at least 2 programming languages (C#, C/C++, Python, Java, Go, etc.)
o 3 years of experience utilizing traditional and/or REST APIs.
o 2 years of experience supporting database, relational (SQL) or non-relational (NoSQL, MongoDB, etc.), environments.
o Experience leading organizational improvement and selecting/maturing development and integration tools.
o Experience with the Microsoft .Net stack and C/C++.
o Experience deploying software to thick client/desktop and embedded devices.
o Experience in an agile software development environment.

o Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, engineering or related technical field or a minimum of 9 years of prior related experience.
