Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a MP&P Engineer 3 for an opening in Berkeley, MO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) methods/approaches, such as acoustic, electromagnetic, thermal, optical and radiologic
principles, in developing new and novel methods/approaches to address affordability and supportability objectives
Develop new sensor technology and testing systems for nondestructive evaluation (NDE) applied to manufacturing and support
areas
Define requirements for tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes used in the engineering design, manufacture and
maintenance of products and approve their use
Lead development of specifications and other documents to manage the deployment of tools, equipment, materials, parts and
processes
Maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations
Evaluate emerging technologies for potential application to address business needs
Lead development, validation and qualification of new tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet requirements
Manages test and audit programs to qualify suppliers to applicable requirements
Use project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
Incorporate environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into (1) materials and processes, (2) research, design
and qualification, (3) work procedures and (4) labs and office areas
Support the Team Lead and work statement, assist defining strategies and/or provide consultation


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Experience with NDE processes (e.g., ultrasonic testing, radiography, eddy current testing, and penetrant
inspection)
3+ years of experience in engineering

PREFERRED DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
College Major such as Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics
NDE Certifications
EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

Full-Time
1st Shift

MISCELLANEOUS:
