- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Purchasing Assistant for an opening in Alpharetta, GA
Under direct supervision, works in conjunction with Procurement and Supply Chain Staff assisting in the daily processing of Supplier Quotations
Executes the Material Proposal Process through the expediting and updating the Supplier quotations into the client Cost Point ERP.
As assigned expedites open supplier orders to ensure the on time delivery of direct and indirect materials, including the updating of supplier promise dates within the ERP, and notifying the assigned Buyer(s) of any supplier issues or delays.
Receives and responds to routine correspondence, internal and external to client, adhering to established procedures and not requiring management review.
Requires a minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience within a Purchasing or Supply Chain organization.
Experienced in the full suite of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Deltek Cost Point or SAP a plus.
Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills, with the ability to analyze and extract required data elements from incoming supplier quotations.
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
