Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Application Architect for a remote contract opportunity.

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, developing and implementing policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of business application systems. In addition, this position leads and is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of system applications to support and improve company systems and processes, particularly those involving multiple departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees application development activities to ensure integration and alignment with other IT technology, systems, applications and environment. Collaborates across divisions to identify and implement strategic solutions. Monitors business needs and translates needs into strategic, long-term application architecture solutions. Consults with end users to provide business solutions to business problems. Generates ideas for improving business processes, application systems and system integration.

REQUIREMENTS:
Understands and considers standard concepts, best practices and procedures related to application development. Expertise in multiple programming languages and system environments. Expertise in at least 4 major application systems/business functions. Understands and considers business goals, corporate IT standards, and department strategy and service level agreements. Completes EVA’s and provides input into departmental budgets. Communicates effectively with all levels of employees, both technical and non-technical. Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with other departments and vendors. Leads project teams effectively, promoting and supporting team work. Monitors emerging trends and evolving technologies, evaluating and understanding the business implications and incorporating them into departmental, divisional and/or corporate strategy. Takes the initiative to search for and identify alternative and/or innovative solutions to both business and technical problems. Uses planning skills to manage and complete large, complex projects on time and on budget.

Oracle NMS - 4-5 years
Communication = 6-8 years
Familiarity with common OMS concepts 4-5 years
Experience with electric utility engineering concepts 4-5 years
Experience Developing and Maintaining Applications 4-5 years

EDUCATION:
Accreidted Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related field and 6 years of applications programming experience.
OR
Accredited Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other related field and 8 years of applications programming experience
AND
Expertise in many application systems/business functions

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
Scheduled working hours are typically Monday through Friday position from 8a – 5p, 40 hours per week (some flexibility toward remote + in-person work could change weekly)

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
