Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer Level 3 for a contract remote opportunity.

Will have an opportunity to work with a diverse team ensuring the successful completion of software development activities aimed at standing up a new Client holistic horizontal full life-cycle environment integrating both COTS and in-house built systems. Will design, develop, integrate, document, test, and debug software that contains graphical, logical, and mathematical solutions taking into account project constraints of scope, cost, risk and schedule in support of meeting critical mission requirements by use of software technological means. Requires standardized programming development and user experience design using existing industry-proven coding standards for internal and military applications in concert with corporate security and backup and recovery compliance requirements for both hardware and software infrastructures. Technical fortitude and dedicated focus shall be required for successful design implementations and software lifecycle support for a model-based digital twin environment and holistic system that will both data interface and physically integrate with multiple systems and tools in its support of operational requirements. In this role, you'll be standing up and integrating existing developed digital twin systems into a brand-new holistic user experience environment and web portal for all Program/project life-cycle processes. You'll have a major stake in building from the ground-up the entire underlying software and implementation infrastructure, integrate existing and newly purchased COTS systems into enterprise data pipelines, and develop a universal web portal, user experience, and data orchestration environment for all MFC employees. This role is considered a self-starter position. It requires knowledge of developing microservice and web-based system of systems from scratch and having knowledge of standing up and integrating out-the-box digital twin or enterprise data systems. You will be working with a small team of developers in achieving fast-paced milestones with Kanban agile processes. This position will require the qualified applicant to articulate technical requirements to non-technical customers and ensure their understanding of capabilities being developed and released to both internal and external users. The position will require operational processes, procedures and technical documentation to be developed that will ensure consistent, repeatable, and scalable support aimed to provide software development and integrations required by both internal and external system stakeholders. This position interacts with personnel on complex technical matters often requiring coordination, collaboration and decisive actions to assure project success. Position develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity while keeping technical leads and management informed with status reports, metrics and key milestones.

Energetic self-starter able to learn new skills and implement rapidly. 2+ years' experience developing scalable front-end web, web services, SaaS offerings, and REST APIs. Software development experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, C++, Go, or NodeJS. Experience with Amazon AWS Cloud technology services. Experience with software version control systems (e.g. Git)

Desired Qualifications:
Ability to see the big picture and help guide and inspire others. Experience with engineering, digital twin, and data simulation processes. Deep understanding of best engineering practices for the full software system development life cycle (SDLC) using standard design patterns/frameworks, such as CLEAN design patterns, Event-based, Domain-Driven Development, and Microservices, including coding standards, code review, source control, build, test, deploy, and operations. Implementation experience with a focus on change management and technology controls. Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming concepts. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) Experience with Relational DBs and/or NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB, MSSQL, MYSQL) Experience implementing system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana. Demonstrated experience developing test plans. Experience with IT Cyber Security best practices for data system implementations. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker. Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes. Experience with agile software development and the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence) Experience in DevSecOps methodologies and technologies. Experience implementing and configuring CI/CD software development pipelines. Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.

Accredited Bachelor's degree from in an accredited university in Computer Science or related technical discipline
Accredited Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline desired.
