- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Product Application Engineer/Scientist for a contract opportunity in South San Francisco, CA.
We are seeking a candidate to support internal instruments and applications within the Ion Torrent organization. This role involves working on a multidisciplinary team of engineers and molecular biologists to support the R&D and product development efforts in RUO and IVD environments. This individual will be part of a larger team tasked with overall application and hardware support at five internal sites.
Develop strong understanding of new and existing Ion Torrent brand Next-Gen Sequencing products and their attributes. Provide in-house and on-site instrument and application support and training support to R&D teams developing new products. Solve instrument or performance issues through in-depth troubleshooting leveraging collaboration with development team and instrument users as needed. Provide service and maintenance for Ion Torrent instrumentation including debugging, troubleshooting and repairing faulty instrumentation within the CSD organization. Collaborate with development team and instrument users to identify issues and develop solutions.
2+ years' experience in STEM field like biology or engineering. Academic experience is sufficient. Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
8am - 5pm with flexibility
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
