- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lead Operator, Manufacturing for a contract opportunity in Carlsbad, CA.
You will work in a team-based environment within a manufacturing department to manufacture casting solutions, gels casting and packaging.
Apply advance departmental knowledge to facilitate problem resolution and implement process improvements. Maintain a safe work environment and proactively coaches team members on safety topics. Implements safety solutions as part of a root cause counter measure process (RCCM) Leads daily team meetings within the department. Utilizes established reporting mechanisms to compile daily production metrics in the areas of Safety, Quality and Production. Coordinate team’s workload, deployment and workflow on a daily basis. Holds team accountable for daily commitment. Provide feedback and support during schedule planning for production. Assess data and provide recommendations when production challenges arise. Able to independently assess impact of production issues and formally escalate when appropriate. Consult with Engineering, Facilities and or Maintenance on specific equipment or department issues. Will initiate problem reports for deviations and non-conforming material with our Quality Management System. Will be a process owner within our Quality Management System and perform root cause investigation, disposition and corrective actions. Conducts formal root cause analysis using existing data. Takes ownership of work instructions or standard operating procedure updates. Owns, facilitates and implements continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinates the work of others to ensure project goals are met. Support Validation of NPIs. Provide coverage for the team whit capacity constraints. Provides hands one equipment troubleshooting support for the team.
At least 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Adaptable in fast-paced manufacturing environment. Well organized, detail oriented and proficient at multi-tasking. Works well independently and in a team environment. Positive attitude towards job and others. Highly motivated and dedicated. Strong use in Microsoft office to analyze data and prepare presentation. Experience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and/or GMP manufacturing environment. Experience with Good Documentation Practices. Able to wear half mask or PAPR System. Ability to lift 30-50 pounds with assistance and/or with equipment on occasion. Will require the use of PPE such as respirators; half-face respirator and PAPR. Well organized, detail oriented and proficient at multi-tasking.
Accredited High School Diploma/GED
Accredited Bachelors in similar field, biology, biotechnology and or chemistry (preferred)
12:45pm -2:15pm start time (staggered shifts).
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
