Chipton-Ross is seeking a Lab Technician for a contract opportunity in Logan, UT.

SUMMARY:
The Lab Technician is responsible for conducting experiments in the materials lab in Logan. The primary function of the lab is to test and validate designs from R&D and support production of single use solutions.
In this position you will work in the materials lab to assist in meeting the goals of the R&D organization. Duties include Executing experiments, maintaining the laboratory, and assisting with other lab activities as required. The incumbent is expected to maintain a high standard for the work they perform.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that experiments are executed according to design and are well documented, including observations, deviations and results. Maintenance of lab supply inventory, cleaning of labware/equipment/spaces, equipment maintenance, and disposal of hazardous waste

REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent organization, planning, multi-tasking and communication required. Skills in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to function effectively as a member of a team is essential. Work experience in a laboratory environment is preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with personnel across multiple departments. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, sit, use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

WORK HOURS:
Full-Time
Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. Some flexibility in working hours is available.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
