Description
Chipton-Ross is seeking a Process Engineer for a direct opportunity in Milledgeville, GA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain positive, team relationships with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers.
Working under general direction from Senior Engineers in a team environment, support manufacturing production of composite components and assemblies ensuring parts, assemblies, and tools meet industry standards and customer requirements.
From engineering requirements, develop manufacturing plans, defining sequence of operations, tooling requirements and quality inspection plans for the guidance of production workers.
Utilize Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) tools to evaluate customer designs and process concepts and assist in manufacturing process downselect.
Use Lean/Six Sigma Tools to predict and improve process yield. Examples of these tools include Statistical Process Control, Variable Control Matrix, and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
Utilize Practical Problem Solving techniques such as A3, 8D, Root Cause Corrective Action, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagrams, and Parato Analysis to determine the origin of a failure, its impact to overall business, and determine containment and countermeasure actions to eliminate recurrence of nonconformances.
Accountable for product development, new product quotes, tool fabrication quotes, first article development, configuration changes that involve cost estimation, schedule coordination, build process definition, and implementation.
Responsible for disposition and follow up on nonconforming materials, detail parts or assemblies as an Engineering member of Material Review Board.
Responsible for the implementation of tooling and or production planning, from original concept through to production. Responsible to validate the tooling functionality and or part conformity, and production part quality in timely manner to support the customer delivery schedule.
Other related duties as required due to changes in business processes or customer requirements.


REQUIREMENTS:
A minimum of four years of experience with a minimum of two years of manufacturing support experience.

The candidate will be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
The individual must be a dedicated and motivated and possess good communication skills with strong process management capabilities and problem-solving skills.
Experience in planning and manufacturing execution systems within aerospace fields is a plus.
Experience in CAD based systems, especially CATIA V5 is preferred.
Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and/or Process Improvement experience as listed under Accountabilities (6-8) strongly preferred.
Requires a thorough knowledge of multiple engineering applications and manufacturing procedures.
Has knowledge of relevant technology and can operate unassisted on routine tasks.
Must possess effective communication skills, both written and verbal.


EDUCATION:
Bachelor of Science in a relevant field (such as mechanical, manufacturing or aerospace engineering).

SHIFT:

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
