Chipton-Ross is seeking a Quality Systems Specialist 2 for a contract opportunity in Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA.
This position is 100% onsite.
o Reviews and validates product nonconformance and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
o Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to verify or validate compliance with Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations.
o Reviews production plans to ensure quality requirements are imbedded into the production plans.
o Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System.
o Some positions may also be rotating shifts
3+ years in quality assurance
o Must be willing and capable of travel both domestically and internationally 50% - with short notice and for extended periods, anywhere in the world and for potentially extended periods of time. (Must obtain and possess current passport)
o Must be able enter in confined spaces with an entry opening of 10"X18"
o 1+ years' experience having the ability to read, understand, and interpret basic engineering drawings and technical specifications
o 3+ years' experience in detecting hazardous working conditions and safety problems via a regular check of equipment and work area
o 3+ years' experience in repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices
o 1+ years of experience working from heights & using fall protection equipment with weight limitations
o Must be able to pass Ground Operations Personnel (GOP) and air respirator medical physicals and maintain qualification/certification
PREFERRED DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o Training and/or experience in using Lean Manufacturing Principles
o Familiarity with C-17 platform
o Air force platforms experience
Accredited education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master, 6 year's related work experience, etc.).
o Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.
