Chipton-Ross is seeking a software engineer for a remote contract opportunity.

This position is for a Cyber Software Engineer on the Cyberworks Architecture & Design Team. This team is responsible for taking developed platform agnostic cyber offering(s) and decomposing the offering(s) down to various weapons system platforms within various relevant air systems. Potential offerings that can supplement a specific platform are then translated into contract requirement / language to be executed and implemented on the various Lines of Business (F-35, IFG, ADP, etc.). Specifically, this individual contributor will support Lockheed Martin Aeronautics 5G efforts at the air system level from a software engineering / developer perspective. Lockheed Martin is seeking a 5G Software Engineer / Developer to work in Texas on a cutting-edge team developing embedded systems and software solutions as it applies to 5G technology.
Experience designing, integrating and testing complex electronics as well as general systems engineering experience including writing and handling test procedures, use cases, and maintaining requirements and verification traceability.
Involvement in all phases of development is required, i.e. development of requirements and design documents, project plans, test plans, test execution, and training customers on the use of the products. - Involved in various embedded and software avionic related research and development projects.
Working with the agile development teams to conduct activity planning and sequencing, resource planning, schedule development, time estimation, documentation, risks and issues management, monitor and report progress, team leadership, and controlling quality of program deliverables.

Experience executing Systems Engineering processes (i.e., requirements management, requirements decomposition, system modeling, integration & test)
Experience with embedded software development
Desired skills :
Experience with 5G Security Framework Domains (Network Access Security, Network Domain Security, User Domain Security, Application Domain, Service Based Architecture Domain Security, Visibility, and / or Configurability)
Experience with secure comm stack (Layer 1 to 7 in OSI)
Experience working Research/Development, IRAD, CRAD, or CRADA
Experience with the development and / or deployment of 5G technology (Base Station, User Devices)
Experience with development of software-enforced security technologies
Experience implementing Zero Trust hardware and software models
Experience working with intrusion detection and prevention systems
Experience working with Open Architecture frameworks
Experience with applied Blockchain / DLT solutions for security
Experience / familiarity with 5G vendor solutions
Experience with two or more of the following standards/guides: Common Criteria, NSTISSIP 11, DoD8500.1, DoD8500.2, JAFAN 6/3, DITSCAP, DIACAP, RMF, JSIG, CNSSI 1253
Experience with creating and presenting technical information to senior-level executives and customers
Demonstrated problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Proficient technical writing skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent communication skills (written and verbal communications) and have the ability to work in a dynamic work environment

STEM or related Bachelor's degree
