Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Technician 2 for a contract opportunity in Redondo Beach, CA.

Develop skills in assembling and soldering small components under a microscope.
Learn, develop, and adhere to strict processing requirements for glass-to-metal sealing, eutectic soldering, and helium leak detection.
Learn to read and interpret engineering drawings for requirements, and must be capable of using a microscope and tweezers as well as all manual support equipment and inspection tools to assemble hardware with some supervision.
Exhibits willingness to work overtime when needed to satisfy customer requirements.
Experience in miniature assembly in a clean production or laboratory environment a plus.
This individual will become familiar with military standards as well as industry process specifications.
The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, reliable, industrious, and able to work independently. A willingness to follow in-house processes without regard for past experience is required for the candidate to be successful.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with a High School Diploma/GED.
Experience working in a team environment.
Ability to demonstrate assembly of miniature components in a laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in miniature assembly in a clean production or laboratory environment a plus.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed based on program workload.

High School Diploma or equivalent.
School must be accredited.

9/80 workweek. 1st or 2nd shift hours

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
