Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer 3 for a contract opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is 100% onsite.
oDeveloping new and various application issues
oDevelopment of software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
oPerform software project management and supporting software supplier management functions
oCollaborating effectively within small team environment, as well as working tasks independently with minimal direction
o1+ years' experience in programming in C++, Java and Python
o2+ years' experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test
o2+ years' experience in software development life cycles, configuration mangement and best agile software engineering practices
PREFERRED DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
o2+ years' experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools
oSkills in Software Development Management including source code control, peer reviews, defect management
oCompTIA Security + Certification
Accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
