Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Systems Engineer 4's for a contract opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO.

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

•Lead definition of requirements, interfaces, and concept of operations through supporting and/or chairing working group meetings. Understand and communicate prioritization of efforts to multi-disciplinary team.
•Support development of pipelines that efficiently accept and process data from external data feeds. Required to interface with a wide range of engineering disciplines to ensure successful development, deployment, and operations of the software services.
•Ensures proper integration of supplier technologies with client products and projects.
•Serves as direct interface to customer, both internal and external.
•Conducts and supports trade studies

•Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physic.
•5 years or more of experience generating and/or tracing requirements for system specifications or interface control documents.
•5 years or more of experience working with software development and software testing practices throughout the full product lifecycle.

•Experience working in Satellite operations.
•Experience or knowledge of Open Mission Systems (OMS) Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) standards.
•Experience working on an agile software development effort.
•Experience as a team or project lead.
•Experience or knowledge of space mission domain including launch vehicles, space systems, mission and space vehicle command & control (C2), specialized mission payloads, system integration, and interoperability.

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry, (e.g. Bachelor's and 9 or more years' experience, Master's with 7 or more years' experience or PhD with 4 or more years' experience.)

WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
