Chipton-Ross is seeking 2 Systems Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in Colorado Springs, CO.

The Systems Engineer will perform as part of a high-performing team and have the opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of innovative software solutions in an agile environment interfacing with internal and external stakeholders; to include a Joint Industry partnership Team (JIPT) and Working Groups, contributing to the design and development of a next generation ground system. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for key portions of our development life cycle, from idea creation and development, all the way through to maintenance and support of the customer’s delivered system. More importantly, you will have the opportunity to make an impact on the results of our projects. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer and /operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success. Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

•Lead definition of requirements, interfaces, and concept of operations
•Understand and communicate prioritization of efforts to multi-disciplinary team.
•Ensures proper integration of supplier technologies with client products and projects.
•Conducts and supports trade studies.

•2 years or more of experience generating and/or tracing requirements for system specifications or interface control documents.
•2 years or more of experience working with software development and software testing practices throughout the full product lifecycle.

•Experience working in Satellite operations.
•Experience working on an agile software development effort.
•Experience or knowledge of space mission domain including launch vehicles, space systems, mission and space vehicle command & control (C2).

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry, (e.g. Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification..)

WORK HOURS: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
