- 200033 - Avionics Lead
Chipton-Ross is seeking an Avionics Lead for a direct opportunity in Mobile AL.
Remove and replace various aircraft components and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, communications, and certification requirements with various testing equipment on aircraft or in a shop environment.
Troubleshoot and repair all major electrical, communications, and navigational systems down to component level with various testing equipment on aircraft or in a shop environment.
Analyze all repairs deciding independent methods and procedures to accomplish assignments.
Lead and work with a small crew of 2 to 4 mechanics / technicians in performance of their assignments
Ability to perform major ADs, EOs, SBs, and EAs.
Capable working with Engineering to resolve work card or manual discrepancies.
Install and modify systems by identifying relevant instructions and use of test equipment on aircraft or in a shop environment.
Thorough understanding of flight deck operations (Autopilot, VHF, HF, Selcal).
Ability to perform basic ADs, EOs, SBs, and EAs.
Ability to evaluate Non-Routine work cards and order replacement parts.
Lead and work with a crew of 8 to 10 mechanics / technicians in performance of their assignments.
Direct and coordinate the activities of the crew to minimize delays and maximize production and efficiency.
Instruct subordinates on proper procedures, methods and practices to be followed on each assigned task.
Must be willing to work day shift, night shift, weekends and holidays as needed.
Airframe license and/or Repairman Certificate (must understand, read, and write English IAW CFR 14, Part 145)
5 years heavy commercial aircraft maintenance experience as a lead
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
