Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Structures Mechanic for a contract opportunity in San Antonio, TX.

This position is 100% onsite.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Remove and replace various aircraft components with the use of special tooling following oral and written instructions such as supervisor's directives and manuals to complete all routine and non-routine assignments in a timely manner.

Perform the duties of and provide the necessary training for lower skill levels.

Maintain and store tools in a serviceable condition.

Adhere to safe maintenance practices and keep a clean work area.

Successfully complete any courses deemed necessary by the Training Department.

Perform any work that may be assigned by his or her supervisor.


REQUIREMENTS:
Good working knowledge or ability to acquire skills in the following:

Extensive knowledge and use of SRM, CMM and Drawings

Knowledge of documentation, task cards (customer work package)

Flap peening

Split sleeve cold working

Wing plank repairs

Skin repairs

Door corner repairs

Beaded doubler repairs

Telescopic duct repairs

Wing spar repairs

Horizontal leading edge repairs

Wing leading edge repairs

Seat Track repairs

Floor beam repairs

Drills holes in structure and attaches brackets, hinges, braces, and clips

Locating, drilling and installing new panels

Frame repairs

Passenger to Freighter Modification

Must have good oral and written communication skills

Available to work shift work, overtime and / or holidays on occasion, and must be able to travel as needed to perform on-site repairs

Performs additional repairs, duties and responsibilities as assigned or

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
