- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Global Product Manager Service, Semiconductor for a contract opportunity in Marietta, OH.
The Global Product Manager position is a high-output role, responsible for the Semi market and a critical product category within the MSD Service and Innovation team. This position will partner with the Semi Global Strategic Marketing Manager to increase the value of the portfolio, drive the growth of new services and maximize the installed base revenue. The Global Product Manager is responsible for developing the product roadmap, executing projects within the road map, and participating as a key member on new product development teams. The role encompasses strategic, tactical, and operational elements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, demonstrates strong strategic mindset and business insight, along with excellent analytic, facilitation, and communication skills (both oral and written). The Global Product Manager will report to the Director of Global Product Marketing.
Lead all product management related activities and champion cross-functional activities to maximize overall product line performance including revenue growth, margin improvement, cost reduction, quality and delivery. Develop integrated product portfolio strategy aligned with the department’s strategic plan: segmentation, positioning, roadmaps and life cycle planning. Manage projects through the stage gate NPD (new product development) process. Develop business cases, document product requirements, define and implement product launch plans and achieve NPD 3-year revenue and profitability targets. Launch services in partnership with the Semi Electron Microscopy Business Unit. Collaborate with sales, innovation/engineering, operations and service delivery in response to direct customer requests. Define value propositions and tailored messaging for different regions, applications and use cases. Coordinate with international teams to develop localized service products. In cooperation with marketing communications, conduct sales training, develop collateral and sales tools and design promotions & campaigns. Conduct in-depth product category and service offering analysis. Analyze market data and campaign results to achieve an optimal return on investment, fine tune tactics as needed. Identify and maintain top line booking projections to meet business objectives. Drive key market and customer needs analysis. Synthesize conclusions from such research to communicate key findings to other key stakeholders and drive action and documentation as part of overall annual planning. Establish and maintain service contracts portfolio and contract sales price lists and sales collateral.
This position is ideal for a candidate with both a strong marketing and technical background who has successfully developed and executed targeted marketing programs for business-to-business technology markets and customers with complex buying cycles. Demonstrated success developing and executing global marketing plans desired. Ability to engage with others constructively, and manage relationships successfully, in a highly collegial culture is essential.
The candidate selected will be expected to understand the Service business strategy, market focus, customers, products, value proposition, and competitive points of differentiation, working closely with the company’s service organization and Service Directors to ensure appropriate alignment of service sales and marketing efforts.
5-10 or more years of product and/or service marketing experience in B2B technology marketing role, preferably with a company providing deeply technical solutions. International Business experience preferred. Demonstrated ability creating global plans and managing global projects that serve targeted markets in North America, Asia and Europe. Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally at all levels technical and commercial team members. Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills, and an ability to influence without authority, enrolling diverse teams in programs that meet overall divisional goals. Superb interpersonal communications, team collaboration, and cross-cultural skills to manage geographically dispersed project teams. Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally, up to 30 percent or more as re quired. A demonstrated passion for putting customer needs at the center of the business strategy.
An understanding of technologies used for imaging and analysis at the nanoscale (focused ion beam, electron microscopy, etc.) An understanding of the Semi microscopy marketplace and application.
Accredited University degree in Engineering/Science, Business, or Marketing is required.
Accredited MBA is desired
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
