Chipton-Ross is seeking a Network Engineer for a contract opportunity in Lancaster, NY.
This position will perform network infrastructure and server upgrades, cyber security, Windows AD administration, and project work at the direction of the IT Director to support both local and Safran Corporate initiatives. The expectation is that this position can perform at a high level with minimal supervision and direction. The following list outlines the majority of responsibilities and expected duties of this position.
Assist with both physical and virtual server patching and firmware upgrades
Upgrade Windows Servers that are on unsupported or end of life versions
Windows Active Directory support and group policy management
Support and maintain the following virtual environments: Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare, and Citrix
Basic Support for Linux / Ubuntu OS servers in the Amazon Gov Cloud
Network printer/copier/scanner support for both manufacturing and office environments
Server Backup/DR support and maintenance
Cyber Security support and administration for locally installed tools (McAfee, FortiSIEM, GFILanguard)
Basic Cisco switch and Unified Communications support
Maintain Safran Minimum Security Rules and CMMC (Cyber Security Maturity Model) Requirements
MINIMUM 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE
Advanced Microsoft Server and Active Directory knowledge
Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMWare and Hyper-V)
Strong understanding of Cyber Security principles and best practices
Cisco switch and Unified Communications experience/knowledge
Ubuntu/Linux OS knowledge
Normal work hours 8-5 with a 1 hour lunch. Due to the nature of this position, some evening and weekend work will be required.
Candidate MUST be a US Citizen and pass a thorough background check
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
