Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Procurement Analyst for a direcct opportunity in Orlando, FL.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under limited general supervision and following established policies, the Associate Procurement Agent performs professional assignments requiring general use and application of supply chain concepts, practices, and techniques.
Typical responsibilities include:

Procuring hardware parts, subassemblies and services.
Ensuring delivery of parts and services in accordance with purchase order schedules.
Monitoring supplier performance through use of internal production/manufacturing schedules.
The successful individual will work under limited general direction to:

30% - Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment and supplies.

30% - Reviews requisitions. Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.

15% - Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Distributes copies in accordance with purchasing policies.

10% - Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories and monitors material expense budgets.

5% - Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and takes corrective action.

5% - Approves and submits invoices for payment.

5% - Expedites delivery of goods to users.

Skills: Additional Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated understanding of the Program Office and Project Management roles within an integrated product team (IPT) environment.
Possess a high level of understanding in all relative business matters and have the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management internal to the company and external to suppliers and customers alike.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of government contracting requirements, FAR and other pertinent government flow down required. Knowledge of process and documentation required for POs over TINA strongly preferred.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Space products and the unique processing associated with these items.
Experience with the Aerospace industry.
Experience with DoD contractor work environment.
Familiarity with Deltek Costpoint



EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in a related and appropriate discipline and at least 2 years of related experience.

SHIFT:
Full-Time


Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
