Description


Chipton-Ross is seeking a Mechanical Technician 2 for a contract opportunity in Chandler, AZ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs technician duties to support additive manufacturing in support of Aerospace applications. Tracks material lot information, converts files for printing, repairs 3D printers, tracks jobs from submission to delivery, fills out traveler information, post-processes parts using hand tools, performs material load testing, works with engineering to optimize design for manufacture, clean lab area, among other duties. This role requires a technician who is proficient at mechanical disassembly and reassembly, use of basic hand tools, organized, and detail-oriented. Works is primarily in the field of FDM plastic materials with limited metal printing.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or higher education
- Has experience working in a field requiring basic mechanical assembly/disassembly
- Interest in additive manufacturing (3D printing)
- Reliable transportation, professional appearance and attitude
- Must demonstrate verbal, written, and communication skills
- Must demonstrate the ability to be organized and follow standard work procedures
- Must be able to work well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Has experience using/maintaining 3D printers
- Understands how to read drawings/blue prints
- Experience in use of CAD/Slicing software
- Ability to work limited hours on weekends (<4 hours)

EDUCATION:
High school diploma/GED.
School must be accredited.

HOURS:
9/80 workweek.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
