Chipton-Ross is seeking an Aerospace Engineer for a remote contract opportunity.
You will focus on HPC specific responsibilities that support engineering groups from multiple engineering disciplines in close coordination with Enterprise IT. Some of these responsibilities include: Creating an architecture and design for HPC integration into digital threads, engaging with modeling and simulation engineers to implement the framework, identification of software tools to manage distributed HPC job submissions, and defining HPC infrastructure requirements with IT. Candidate should be motivated to enable the digital thread through data engineering principles to partition processes appropriately between centralized databases and distributed file management. Data engineering focus areas will include meta data management, data provenance, and other efficient data analysis and visualization solutions for large datasets. Other related duties to be expected as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
o 5-7 years professional work experience in aerospace engineering
o Experience with HPC job submission tools, processes, and operations
o Experience with programming/scripting languages
o Understanding of management of HPC distributed systems (files, meta data, and databases)
o MS Degree Engineering
o Data Science related course work
o PLM Experience/Knowledge
o Confluence Experience/Knowledge
o MS Project Experience/Knowledge
o CAMEO Experience/Knowledge
Accredited BS Degree Engineering (Mechanical/Aerospace or related)
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
