Chipton-Ross is seeking a Software Engineer for a contract opportunity in Stratford, CT.
This position is 100% onsite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for various levels of the software project lifecycle -starting from requirements documentation to system and software designs, to software development, integration, and test, to user support. Primary focus of this position is the integration of numerous types of hardware and "black boxes" with the simulation software system.
REQUIREMENTS:
o2+ years of software engineering experience
oExperience in programming languages C and C++
oExperience programming in the Linux environment
oKnowledge of source code management (e.g. Git, ClearCase, SVN) systems
DESIRED SKILLS:
oExperience with a scripting language (e.g. Shell, Perl)
oExperience in a multi-disciplinary environment
oExperience with Data Acquisition Systems
oExperience with document collaboration (e.g. Confluence)
oExperience with issue tracking (e.g. Jira)
oKnowledge of the following I/O interfaces is desirable but not required: Mil-Std-1553, ARINC-429, Ethernet, 1394B, PCI, PCIe and VMEbus interfaces.
oSome background in Electrical Engineering is desirable but not required.
EDUCATION:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
