- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for a contract opportunity in Redmond, WA.
The Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for performing skilled work in the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of plant equipment which may include automated production equipment, CNC controlled equipment, boilers, chillers, autoclaves, HVAC systems, etc. These positions inspect and diagnose malfunctions and repairs, dismantle and replace broken parts as required; write descriptions of repair work accomplished and parts used; read blueprints, machine drawings, etc.; operate equipment to ensure proper working order; complete requisitions for machinery parts; assist in preparing standard maintenance procedures and detailed instructions for the production line operators; operate stations on the manufacturing line as required to meet production goals; and work with management, engineering, manufacturing and appropriate personnel to plan and sequence the installation, maintenance and repair of various equipment. Buildings and mechanical maintenance and repair, methods, practices, tools, and materials.Applicable codes and regulations, theory, design, principles and practices.Operation and use of tools, equipment and materials used to install, maintain, and repair devices, equipment, and systems.Servicing and maintenance of electric motors, heating and water systems, and cooling units.Procedures and methods used in preparing technical specifications for procuring equipment.Mechanical and electrical maintenance, and care for tools and equipment.Basic plumbing and electrical equipment repair.Procedures in requisitioning parts and contract services.Occupational hazards associated with performing work and use of tools and equipment.Concepts pertaining to effective customer service.Principles and procedures of record keeping.Handling and practices of hazardous chemicals and materials.Safety rules and regulations.
Effectively and safely operate tools and equipment used to test, install, maintain and repair systems found in buildings and facilities.Understand and follow oral and written instructions.Read, understand, follow and accurately interpret technical standards/blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documentation to identify discrepancies and deficiencies.Perform basic mathematical calculations accurately and correctly and be accountable for such calculations.Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and damage found in devices, equipment or systems.Establish and maintain cooperative-working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.Follow OSHA/CALOSHA and Company safety guidelines.Perform job duties in a reasonable and safe manner.Organize, prioritize and complete a large volume of work within established timeliness.Prepare work progress reports.Maintain accurate and complete records.Use modern office equipment such as personal computers, calculators, copy machines, facsimiles, telephones, cellular phones, hand-held radios, and file cabinets in a safe and efficient manner
Accredited High School Diploma or GED
Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
