- Chipton-Ross is seeking a Systems Administration Specialist 1 for a hybrid opening in Bingen, WA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains and administers computing environments to include hardware, systems software and applications. Maintains smooth system operation. Monitors system performance and controls system and user access. Implements planned software and hardware updates. Participates in applications implementation. Installs system software. Participates in testing of vendor products and engages vendor support. Implements planned changes to existing systems, procedures, and documents. Performs system diagnostics and testing. Assists with troubleshooting and resolving hardware, and software problems. Replaces defective components.
Identifies and understands issues, problems, and opportunities; compares data from different sources to draw conclusions; uses effective approaches for choosing a course of action or develops appropriate solutions; takes action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.
Ability to work across the enterprise, model and analyze data from a computing technical and total business viewpoint, and integrate into an overall computing system and application systems architecture. Ability to connect the networking, processing, and data management that provides the most effective computing infrastructure.
Knowledge and application of configuration management principles and methods (e.g., revision level management, asset naming conventions, asset numbering conventions), relevant to equipment and associated equipment documentation (e.g., version control documents, configuration change records).
Ability to design, build, implement, integrate, and provide computer system inter operations support for the client-server system environment. Responsibly involve the operational and maintenance services required to optimize productivity and availability. This includes the internal systems knowledge of the computing system environment (hardware, software and networking) to establish and perform; tests, evaluations, and execute troubleshooting techniques to locate and isolate the problems, identify possible solutions, and select approaches that are practical and effective.
The ability to use established physical, mechanical, or scientific principles and perform appropriate tests to identify and solve problems encountered on the job. This includes the ability to locate and isolate the problem, identify possible solutions, and select approaches that are practical and effective.
EDUCATION:
Technical Bachelor’s degree. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in mathematics, technologies, sciences or information technology.
SHIFT:
1st/Full-Time Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
